OK this is what happened. Went to bed last night all was fine. Woke up and booted up this AM and my ethernet card was showing and being disconnected or unplugged? It is integrated on my Asus P4s533 so i looked and it unplugged cord etc and nothing. I have another ethernet card so I stuck it in and booted up installed and connected to internet thought it was fine. But then I rebooted and my mouse, keyboard, gamepad ... were not recognized? I did system restore back a week or so and it booted ok once. But then after that I get the nothing alive boot unless i use system restore point to boot up.

Do you think I need to change a setting on the built in card I disabled and tried it already? Any help is greatly appriciated.
thanks

I don't want your money but I will offer a suggestion. Any number of irregularities in motherboards can be solved very simply. Locking up when using Winmx or 3d acceleration, onboard lan or audio stopping working, boot problems. I've seen all of these issues easily solved just by jumpering the BIOS. I have this same board and has proven reliable for me. Try jumpering the battery and give it a minute. Put it back in its original spot and make sure your bios settings are correct.
Hope that helps.

Jumpering the BIOS to reset it is the first step that I would recommend. It seems that you're not familiar with how to do this so please download the manual or read your hardcopy manual. You want to read the section called "Clear RTC Ram (CLRCMOS1) on page 30. Keep in mind that once you've done this you'll need to put your personal settings back in the bios.
