What's so important about DAO RAW?

I'm not certain about the importance of this feature. Why is Yamaha missing it if it is so important?

Will the new 16x Yamaha support it? If it doesn't should I look elsewhere for a burner (Plextor)?

it's not very important unless your buffer empties out(will give you a coaster).

It's important for CloneCD, I think. The 16X Yamaha supports DAO RAW writing.

Its very important to break through the write protections and stuff like that. Not important unless you decide to pirate a software.

Where did you see that the new Yamaha 16x supports DAO RAW? I saw on the website that it support DOA....is DOA different from DOA RAW or is it the same thing?
