What's the Best LCD?

What is the best LCD for a gamer? 17" and 19". I do not watch movies on my monitor, that's what my TV is for, I basically code / design and play games- Doom 3, HL, CoD, MoH... etc.

dell, samsung, phillips. generally anything under 16ms will be good for gaming.

Mitsubishi had a nice Diamond POint LCD about a year ago...18.1"

You can get them for even cheaper if you have more coupons.

I have the 1703FP and IMO i dont see any ghosting in any games.

the 2001 FP is the best of these with 1600.1200 resolution and 16 ms response time.

12x10 o na 17... how's it look? I know what it looks like on a CRT. Is there any difference on the Samsung 172x?

Samsung 173P -- best 17incher for graphics and text

the new NEC 19incher is awesome for graphics and the text is good too --- i forget the exact name of it

I really like the 173P.... I'm just worried how browsing, will look on 12x10 on a 17". I have 12x10 on a 20" LCD and it's perfrect.

How close are you to your monitor when browsing? Text on my 172N at 12x10 is very sharp, even with crappy extreme graphics powering it through an analog connection. I browse from about 2.5 feet usually though...

Correction: generally anything under a good 25ms panel will be good for gaming.

i've used all sorts of lcds that are 25ms and some really suck. i found some to be really good though, like some of samsung's and dell's models. i have a 25ms response time dell lcd at home and i really cant tell any ghosting on any game, and guess wut? i still prefer the lcd on gaming over my 19inch crt that's 2 ft away from the lcd.
