I heard that one use for this is for layout design. You can fill in gibberish to test your layout. Or maybe you just want to say "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog." It might come in handy one day.
All I know about the sentence "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" is that it was typed by a writer (don't remember who) when he bought a new typing machine.
Why this sentence ? Because it contains all letters of the alphabet...
Also, if you go into the "Fonts" folder in Control Panel and double-click a TrueType font, it uses the same sentence (quick brown fox) as an example because it does show all the letters of the alphabet.
