Private tracker Rule #1: DO NOT GRANT INVITES TO PEOPLE YOU DONT KNOW!!!!

If you give out invites to just anybody, its not a private tracker. The last thing that a good site needs is for somebody to infiltrate it and ruin in for everybody.

If you people keep giving out invites like crazy, everybody is going to start getting sued just like the other public trackers.</end quote></div>

Redundant but necessary quoting

p.s. don't DL HBO stuff on demonoid for those who are on there

What's going on with HBO stuff?

HBO is watching the files posted on demonoid. seemingly everyone who DL's HBO stuff gets notices from their ISP eventually...check out some of the comments on random HBO stuff(when demonoid is back up)

Ugh, demonoid is supposed to be keeping those kind of people out. They need to close down registration permanently.

An invite would be nice.
I can wait till they do another open registration though.

Mostly download engineering related stuff, books to see if they are worth buying.
That or the occasional missed tv episodes.

I still get plenty of that off usenet.

dont worry kids NGs are up!

I love a "private site" that requires a invite even though the invites are handed out like water...

they should be keeping them out and peerguardian should block them, but i know hundreds of people who have received isp letters saying they were contacted by hbo. Myself included.

LOL 100s? you know 100s?
anyways, thats the whole point. I don't get how any of you think Demonoid is "safe" because its by "invite only". How many invites have we seen handed out alone on ATOT to anyone and everyone that says "Me too please!" LOL just comical

a torrent site that uses the same provider as demonoid was raided & shut down by the feds of the country its in. demonoid didn't want to get raided/shut down so they have taken the time to switch providers since there site needed to go down for maintenance anyway.

The torrent site is back up now.
Before the outtage, they were located in the Netherlands.
NeoTrace says they're now located in Laval, Quebec, Canada.

Edit: they seem to have less bandwidth now. Keep getting "Server too busy".

thepiratebay.org now traces back to Stockholm, Sweden.
They re-located from the Netherlands a few months ago, as I recall.
