Good, glad you are jewish, otherwise it would have been odd. Just so you know, I can't remember the last time I said "jewed", but my roommate did say "My dad is such a jew". Anyways, sorry you find it offensive.

And this is the US. Racists most of the time don't even know they are racists. Things of that nature slip into mainstream culture without thought. The whole "jewed" thing is a prime example.

hahahahaha. I tell people I live in the Ghetto of Sunnyvale, because theres nothing but white people who work on their cars in the street, play loud music, and put their laundry on the balcony. I mean sheit, this isn't New York in the 1920's...use the dryer!

Anyways, you probably wouldnt consider your mother racist, and she wouldn't consider herself racist either. Some things have become acceptable in society even though they shouldnt have, and its still offensive. Most people these days can't even agree on what is and isnt offensive, so its hard to know when you're crossing that line, especially if you aren't trying to be an arsehole.
