What's wrong with my MSN Messenger?

Hi! everyone!

I recently formatted my hard drive and re-installed Win98SE.
After that, whenever I log-in the messenger, all my list is gone.
And I have to add all my friends again. The worse thing is that I have to do it again and agiain if I reboot the system.


Q1. Is there something wrong with my computer or MSN?
Q2. Does anyon have similar problems like mine?
Q3. Is there an integrated messenser which enalbes people to chat with other people who use various types of messengers?

Microsofts messanger service is down, all lists are stored remotely, wait for them to bring their service up again and everything should be fine.

Or get off of MSN and use Jabber or AIM.
