Of course, being a fan of Kant's Critique of Pure Reason, that doesn't *quite* work out, but whatever.

You imply there is only one true way to experience the world - perhaps there are myriad equaly valid mindstates achievable through learning, meditation, or drugs. If you are a philosopher, perhaps you would enjoy LSD? It will make you reconsider reality, for a few hours at least.

Mescilaine.(Sp!) FTW?
don't waste your time. for many here, the notion of breaking the law is too much to handle. never mind if the act is not morally, ethically, mentally, or physically detrimental to one's well being.Originally posted by: techtonics
Why can some people not accept that recreational drug users can be responsible at the same time? Not everyone who drinks alcohol is an alcoholic, so why can't the same apply to 'drugs'?

I never had mescaline, but i've had a related synthetic chemical called 2CB... The king was inside my sofa (don't know what he was the king of), and i was able to lift the bricks from my driveway and make floating shapes with them. This was a low dose.

if something as tame as weed can turn someone into a COMPLETE loser, they were a loser to begin with. *imho* (assuming that is the main rec. drug we are referring to...)Originally posted by: Queasy

Because all the recreational drug users I met in high school and college turned into major losers. Not saying that is always the case....just my own anecdotal experience.

Alcohol is less stupid?
Smoking is less stupid?
If you don't smoke OR drink alcohol, then your point of view is valid, but if you do either of the above, they are equally stupid, so you have no leg to stand on.
If you do both, well I won't even comment.
