TNR is a horrible font. It was developed for newspapers to fit the most number of words on the page ~400 words per double spaced page. Arial is the largest with ~200 words per ds page, IIRC. I had a writing teacher who wouldnt allow us to use TNR in our final papers. I used Palatino Linotype for the body and Book Antiqua for the headings (both serif, kinda like TNR). My email signature is currently Century Schoolbook, and default at work is Verdana.
Clifs:
TNR smallest, Arial Largest
Use Palatino Linotype, Book Antiqua, Century Schoolbook, and Verdana.
