Atomic Bomberman (PC) - Multi is insane with 4 people. Did a search to see if I can still buy it, apparently it's considered abandonware now. So it's a free 35 meg dl for anyone who wants to try it.

Puzzle Bobble (PC) - The best nonviolent 1v1 game.

Suikoden III (PS2). I just started playing it a few weeks ago... by far, it has become my favorite RPG of all time.

This is what I was going to say. Fallout 1 and 2 are 2 of the best games ever made. Dark humor, excellent plot and storylines. Not to mention an amazing setting in a post-apocalyptic world with a rich character development system. One of the greatest disappointments in the gaming industry is the fact that Fallout 3 hasn't (and may never) hit the stores yet. If there was one must-play game that everyone should get, it would be one of the Fallouts.

War. War never changes....

Ooh, I used to play Rise of the Triad all the time.

OMG i forgot about rise of the triad!!

also, anybody remember a game called Horde?

The Horde for PC and 3DO? Kind of a RTS game with lots of cheezy video thrown in?

CrackRabbit

ya horde the rts where you had cows and trees and little huts, i can barely remember anything about that game other then how much i was stuck on it. goodtimes
I remember staying up all night playing the Horde on 3DO. It was the first game I bought on my 486. I played that for hours. I loved toasting the ogres/trolls/I forget what they were called with the flame thrower. The cutscenes were excellent quality compared to the norm.

Beyond Good and Evil (for PS2, XBox, PC, Cube)
Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo (DC)

dahotboykj, Return Fire was fun for about 10 minutes. Originally for 3DO... featured in "In the Army Now" with that 'comical genius', Pauly Shore.

PC:

Seven Kingdoms I and II
Myth: The Fallen Lords
Myth II: Soulblighter
Arguably, Worms II (don't know if you consider that overlooked, amazing game though. Part II was better than Armageddon and such in my opinion, the ninja rope had a more natural feel).

I don't know if it's ovelooked, but it's seldom mentioned even if it is the most addictive game ever made:
Heroes of Might and Magic III with all expansions, it even beats civ and civ II in addictiveness even though it's close. It's the best hotseat game made, great when friends are visiting.

Outlaws - an old western shooter from Lucas Arts back around '96.

The graphics were nothing to write home about (even when it was released.) But the old west setting and gameplay made it fun. And the original soundtrack was nothing short of amazing for the time. Excellent production quality in an era where games didn't have huge budgets allocated for soundtracks.
