Weird. Prices here have been going down this month. It's the only thing that's not more expensive.Running around $4.15 in Aberdeen. That’s up about $.70/gallon since the first of the year…thanks King Donnie.
IIRC the national average is up a bit over the past weeks.Weird. Prices here have been going down this month. It's the only thing that's not more expensive.

That appears to be the case. But since Kroger's is a mile away and everything else is 15 miles away they're going to get my business anyway. But you pay more for food than anywhere else.
This just in! K1052 has been syphoning gas from other people's car for at least a year!Bought gas for the first time in a year. $5.21/gallon for premium. Total tab $8.

I have absolutely nothing a mile away. Literally everything is at least 20 miles. That appears to be the case. But since Kroger's is a mile away and everything else is 15 miles away they're going to get my business anyway.
I landed in a good place by accident. We were about to buy a place 10 or 12 miles from here, and ran across this place the night before we made the commitment on the other one. We liked it, and bought it based on pictures. It ended up being a great location. Doctor, dentist, vet, hardware store, city hall, county seat, and grocery store all within two miles.I have absolutely nothing a mile away. Literally everything is at least 20 miles.
And I'm not just talking grocery stores. DG is as close as it gets to that.
:shudder: IMO, DG is a waste of real estate. We have an IGA here in town. Prices are consistently 20-40% higher than at the Safeway that's about 25 miles away. We also have a "liquidation" store here that sells "almost fresh" groceries. I think most of their produce is seconds...the stuff that even Walmart wouldn't buy...but their apples are decent enough...and cheap as chips. Their dairy prices are about 20% cheaper than the IGA...and it's fresh, no outdated crap. (they don't sell out of date products, but maybe stuff that's getting close...except for their dairy stuff. That's always fresh.I have absolutely nothing a mile away. Literally everything is at least 20 miles.

Yeah, it always makes my heart drop when I see those dollar stores in poor rural areas. They're terrible values. The place I grew up couldn't support a full grocery, so now they just have a gas station and DG.
