Firstly, kryptonite is the element that has the power of destroying superman's power. Now i'm using kryptonite metaphorically. All of us has that one thing that we have no self control over for sure while on a diet. For me it's ice cream damn a good vanilla cone from DQ  i can't resist. If i drive by a DQ i have to stop. Right now i'm sitting in my house knowing that theres a bucket of vanilla that I'll be violating later (dont patronize me) luckily i can maintain pretty damn good self control over everything else.

So Whats yours? or am i just crazy or something

Thankfully, you explained what Kryptonite was. Otherwise, I might have thought it was another bitcoin copy.

And saying "we all have one" is pretty broad. I don't have one.

I don't think I really have any. I can pretty much turn my nose to most anything, it completely depends on how much unhealthy items I have consumed that week, plus I never let myself get over 10lbs over what I want my weight to be so once I hit 180lbs I'm not touching fatty foods.
But nothing out there I couldn't resist, I'm not huge on how good stuff tastes, for me it's all about relieving the hunger, I don't care if it's just bread and butter, I usually just eat what's convenient.

its been psychologically proven that obese people start eating because it pattern and forget about whether they are hungry or not
I have to admit i havew lost 25 pounds and have stopped dieting for the winter (no exercise) and have been able to keep me under 7 pounds over what i stopped at.

Anything alcohol. As much I love beer, it makes me extremely lazy and unmotivated to exercise for a couple of days.

lower back and right shoulder. Both slightly limit my potential in deadlift and bench on max lifts, and are one bad form day away from knocking me out of commission for my training. Luckily as we get older, the smarter we are with our form. For foods, nothing except maybe too big of portions.

My Kryptonite is staying up late.

I hate going to bed early, but my body demands an early bedtime & 7 hours of sleep. If I miss being asleep from 9pm to midnight, I suffer the next day - low motivation, fatigue, etc. I just hit a wall of no energy. It doesn't matter if I go to bed at midnight and sleep in until noon, it's just not the same. I don't know why (Circadian Rhythms & all that jazz) and I don't know how that works when traveling, either (like in different timezones), I only know the results: stay up late = useless the next day, no matter how much sleep I get.

Why would one's "kryptonite" be a favored food? Wouldn't it be something that you avoid at all costs and that diminishes you in some way if you're unable to get away from it? A food weakness would only quality if you're overweight.

That's a good one. Very much like mine.

I nap and then stay up most of the night. If I don't nap, I'm fine, but 9 out of 10 days I'm asleep from about 5 or 6PM to 7 or 8PM. It's been years since I've been able to keep a steady nighttime sleep schedule. Maybe it's just a bad habit, or maybe a real body rhythm that I'm unable to fight.

It's also psychologically proven that our brains are very capable of recognizing patterns and taking control. We can change any habit. It usually takes me about 2 weeks to forcibly change a habit without having to remember to not do that particular habit and about another 2 weeks to where the old habit is completely gone. I'm sure a smoking or drinking habit would take longer.
Congrats on your weight control, the key is just being aware. I generally just try to watch calories and skip lunch or do light lunch and dinner, seems to work well for me.

Yeah, it's hard. I work 6 to 7 days a week, have a toddler, college classes, etc. Plus I love staying up late & getting my second wind & having some downtime. But, I also can't stick to my commitments the next day if I'm tired...it just becomes far too easy to brush off exercise, cooking my meals, etc. because I don't have enough energy to deal with it.

I've had a hard time accepting that I'm a low-energy person, but it's basically like a disease - I have food allergies coupled with sleeping problems, so if I don't obey my body's rules, I basically punish myself with the consequences of low energy & fatigue. If I go to bed early & eat clean, then I do totally fine, night & day difference. It's just hard to consistently put that theory into practice

Save-a-lot has these $2.50 deluxe frozen pizzas that are my kryptonite. They're cheap. They're tasty. And they're just the same size as a Tombstone, but for only half the price.

So I buy two!

Carbs. Generally ice cream, candy, cakes. Sometimes a really good bagel from NYC will do it, too.

A lot of people mentioning carbs/sugar as their weakness. One thing that I've found that will help are veggie + fruit + yogurt + milk + 50g of ON protein smoothie. Usually I'll have one a day with organic blueberries (or mango/pineapple) + strawberries and the fruit sugar really kills my cravings. A couple things this will accomplish: 1) fills the stomach with air due to expanded blend and 2) knocks out at least 3 hours of your day with digestion - I usually do 24oz a day. With a combination of 7 eggs for breakfast that will already knock out 4 hours of hunger = 7 hours of hunger time killed for you before even calculating lunch and dinner.
