Where are online passwords stored?

I was wondering,

Doesa any of the information "TYPED" in a pc, remain recorded in the HD in any way?

Like, when filling online forms, or accessing bank account information?

Forum passwords, credit cards, etc?

Is such information stored in the HD or OS?

Yes in most cases it is stored on the hard drive and will allow any one with physical acces to the computer to access you information/accounts. The best recommendation is to not store passwords in your system and to clear all private information when you close your browser just check under the tool menu for the options mine is set to clear every time I close the browser ( Firefox 2.....
