The need for some people to slam WW is a mystery to me. She has been nothing but helpful on this board publicly, and through numerous PMs. Our community here is fortunate that she is part of it. Those of you who wipe the drool from your keyboards just long enough to peck out a venomous reply should really think about why you are compelled to do so.

Face it: WW is a beloved member of the board. There's no logical reason for that to upset anyone.

Isla - I hope so! I've been through a lot of changes in the forums, people have been coming and going since the beginning. (except Russ, Red, and Harvey! )

This brings up something I've been thinking... I think Russ and Red used to be more active here until a lot of "young guns", looking to make a name, came in in endless droves to attack those 2 in particular. Russ seemed to mostly ignore them with the occasional remark, Red would tangle with them more until he got tired of it. Still, it did seem to change the amount and way they now post.
(That and they get bored of the neffing I'm sure! )

Point is, I'm glad they weathered it, even though it still happens from time to time. If they had left, there would have been a huge change in the Forum population. I bet even Harvey would miss them in the political threads!

So stay around, Isla - if all the good people leave, this place will go to hell fast. I'm not letting it go!

I'm here Isla, just having a really, really bad week. I had to have my son's beloved guinea pig put to sleep yesterday (pneumonia, followed by kidney failure), my aunt was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer the day after Christmas and it looks like I'm going to have to have my ex arrested because he hasn't paid child support for a month (bad at any time, but at Christmas it seems particularly difficult). I'm going to have to have some outpatient surgery next week for a biopsy and the holidays in general just suck when you're an adult.

But this thread is WW's - and for all you pissface little asswipes that put her down - maybe it's because you've never been on the receiving end of one of her warm, sweet and helpful PM's; maybe your own mother's never took the time to teach you basic respect for people who do you no personal harm....or maybe everyone else is right and you're just jealous that someone can be loved just for being - not for what they've accomplished or what they've done for you, but because they have a truly kind, gentle spirit that is its own reward.

As others have repeatedly pointed out, despite your seeming inability to grasp it, WW herself never flaunts any of her outside world accomplishments or attributes. Those are accolades brought to light by those trying to give a reference point to people like you who measure others by what tangible things they've accomplished in life, rather than the more insubstantial but infinitely more important gauge of what their spirit is.

If this person is who I think it is, I'd like you to know I'm not wasting my time making all of these comments in an effort to convince you that you're wrong - but on the off-chance WW is reading this, she can add me to the chorus that simply appreciates her for who she is and hopes she's feeling well.

I find it a shame if she is truly ill. It is desperately sad for someone who feels they have something to really give. However, what I was pointing out was that I have actually some knowledge of her output and style, and putting "MensaWoman" up on the website is either kinda childish or desperate to impress. Come on kids. I know people with high IQs. I even respect some of them. But none of them actually told me about their IQs spontaneously.
I've been to "star poster" land. I know the type, in an internet where so few are really what they claim to be and who enjoy internet fun and games. So you put me in the role of troll?- well, if you like. But I'm being more honest than most of the fakes and wimps and I invite and withstand criticism better than you. I cannot imagine what it must be like to have this dirtbag attacking you every chance he gets, but remember something. For every member that puts you down, there are ten of us who love you. We all have enemies here, your just lucky enough to have one who has time to spend trying to hurt others. I really miss you here and the rest of us women cannot do it with out you. Don't let him win.

first of all, this post was asking where has WW been, it has nothing to do with her membership in mensa until you hauled your ass over here to crap in it. secondly, her membership in mensa is one of her achievements and in turn, she made a handle to reflect that achievment - gee, I'm sorry if having pride in yourself is such a bad thing. secondly, she only posted "mensawoman" and other names on her site to let us know her aliases, I don't see how that is remotely like bragging. my point? your pathetic posts have nothing to do with the topic on hand and it reflects your jealousy of WW for her grand achievments. and to cover that jealousy up, you made it sound like she has a boastful attitude.
