Where's the cheapest 17inch LCD monitor?

hmmm, average price is around $400us. Or should i just buy a 17inch flat CRT, any suggestions?

If money is your only concern and $400 is you're budget, buy a nice 19" CRT for around that price. I see so many people build great rigs, the biggest hard drive, the fastest processor, the best video card etc. then skimp on the most important component, the monitor.

My friend caught one of those Best Buy deals and got a 19 inch CRT for under $200. It's a great monitor. I would check the Sunday ads before I bought anything.

A 15" LCD will give you the same screen size as a 17" CRT. Keep that in mind.
