Well, it's fine, but I'm not that thrilled with ViewSonic in general (not responding whatsoever to three of my e-mails, shady advertising practices in the past, false advertising now (VP930b will not input 720p)). Plus apparently the VP930b has an electronics issue which causes noise in the colors. ViewSonic hasn't fixed it yet AFAIK and it's been an issue for quite a while. The OSD isn't as good as my old Samsung's, and the DVI/VGA notices every input/resolution are annoying and not disable-able. Contrast adjustments are abysmal with color shifts, same problem with R/G/B component adjustment.
Worse backlight bleeding is present. Default gamma was not that great and looked washed out. Plus after a power outage the thing showed theft deterrent and that message wouldn't go away until I found out myself how to hard-reset it. Another user also had the same issue. The calibration software that came on the CD hard-locked my Windows. When enabling ClearType, color fringing is obvious even after ClearType gamma adjustment. This was solved by calibrating colors to match my CRT. But the color fidelity and contrast itself is very good compared to my Samsung 710T TN. Response time is also better (in 80% of cases). The credit for those should probably go to AU Optronics for the P-MVA panel though. One good thing is I had no dead pixels, whereas I had 2 on my Samsung if I recall correctly (over time). I paid $450 for both at the time of purchase. But my next monitor(s) will not be ViewSonics. ViewSonic did a very poor job of implementing an otherwise great panel.
