They seem appear to be the same monitor by the specs.
I like that they have an HDMI connection and only @64w power consumption.

I'm generally pleased with my VX2835wm. Requires lots of tweaking to get it right but after burn-in time it's quite good. Speakers aren't usable, there is no height adjustment and viewing angle is narrower than I'm used to ... otherwise it works great for my purposes of viewing multiple documents and large drawings. As for games and videos I dunno.

Cheers, PDQ

You might as well get a 24 inch monitor vs 28 with that rez. You get the same rez size on 24 inch, watching a 1080p movie will just squeeze it down to 24 inches anyways. Except on 28 inch you get a huge ass black bar on top and bottom. Guess it all depends on if that annoys you like it does some people.

28" screens are 1920x1200 just like 24", so there wouldn't be any squeezing for a 1080p movie. It's worth it over 24" IMO because you sit further from the screen which is easier on your eyes

I have the hannspree and love it. I play my 360 on it, as well as use my pc and games on it.

UT3, Crysis, Trackmania, TF2, COD4, Mass Effect (Pc) All look and run fantastically on it with no ghosting noticeable.

I'm leaning toward the HannsG for one main reason: Height. The Viewsonic is far too high up for a monitor this size, and cannot be adjusted down. When you're putting the VS onto a regular desk, you'll find that you can't keep your head in a relaxed position unless you're very tall too.

I have had several Viewsonic's over the years. Never had any problems with them. They always gave me clear, crisp and colorfull displays. I like them!

For electronics, Costco's return policy isn't nearly as liberal as it used to be. Too many abuses caused it to get MUCH tighter:

"We guarantee your satisfaction on every product we sell with a full refund. Exceptions: Televisions, projectors, computers, cameras, camcorders, iPOD / MP3 players and cellular phones must be returned within 90 days of purchase for a refund."
