Which anime should I watch?

I've never been into anime before, so I'd like to at least watch one. Which one should I watch?

To make it at least slightly interesting, I'd like to see cartoon girls who wear as little clothing as legally possible. :ninja;

A great movie with good action is Ninja Scroll (movie not tv series). However, it definitely is for mature audiences (violence/sex)
Another great movie is Vampire Hunter D (the remake - newer version)

anyways, off the top of my drunken head, try Ichigo 100%, an otherwise lame anime, but give you an idea of what's ahead.

Those are great selections. Also maybe you should consider the Full Metal Panic series. Also the Banner of the Stars series is excellent. Oh and Gundam Seed

Melancholy of Suzukixxx something. Death note, no short skirts there thought. I started out with Naruto thought, after seeing Narutrix.

Those would fall under your request for something interesting maybe... Nagasarete Airantou and AIKa R-16? Nagasarete Airantou is a cute story based on a guy being shipwrecked on an impossible to escape island full of female only inhabitants who haven't gotten any in awhile. Your typical "harem" genre. AIKa R-16 - Virgin_Mission, a recent one that came out, has lots of... welll nothing that would cross to illegalness but pretty much it falls in line with another anime Najica Blitz Tactics.

Naruto? Its way too long of a stretch and it is the new DBZ of today with a bunch of episodes with a bunch of unneeded silence build up moments and fights that just gets old using the same old formula over and over. Its sequal is not any better either, a same thing under a different name.

:thumbsup: to The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Short but sweet and gets you thinking a bit about what the heck is going on here. Another good one is Lucky Star with all of its subtle presented humor about things with anime, games, etc. Great Teacher Onizuka is also a very good series.

If you're into shounen (guy anime), Air Gear would be ok. Bleach is @ ep 129 right now, Naruto Shippuden is @ ~14 or 18, I forget. Ghost in the Shell is great, especially with Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society, good movie.

You want a perverted anime? Go look up anything by Oh! Great. Someone already mentioned one of their series (Air Gear) and another is Tenjou Tenge (commonly called Tenten). The shows aren't considered great, but they usually have a bit of humor, mixed with action and lewdness. Someone mentioned "harem series" above and those can also be amusing and full of lewdness. Love Hina is a good example of this.

My old roommate would kill me if I didn't mention Divergence Eve. I found the story kind of dull, but the show features "bombshell broads" as I called them. The fanservice was strong within that one!

I haven't watched many new animes lately, so I can't comment on most of them, but what other qualities do you like other than animated breasteses?

Cowboy Bebop wasn't bad but as I got further into the series I found myself having a hard time finishing it. I went through GITS pretty quickly and blew through Samurai Champloo in one weekend.
