There should be a cutter on the guard. You let it out til it hits the guard, and it gets cut to length.

Or when the line starts hitting the guard.
I've never had a problem with the line hitting the guard, just stays horizontal and gets cut to the right length. If your line has *permanent* curls in it, you might try soaking it in hot water and stretching it out straight before winding on the spool.

I was talking about when you add new line.

What happens last night was scary for me.
I put greenworks batteries to charger (24V x 4A), wait to hear beep and to take of batteries from charger.

But instead of this i hear BUM, i intemedially go to see what happens and i see one of them smoke, i take out charger. Then i go to see bateries and i see that other battery have a liquid.
Because its on side it looks like that this battery have a smoke and look like its other. And i am not sure what to do.
Can i use another battery or is best to throw both? The biggest problem is i am not from USA and shipping is slow. Amazon even dont send batteries to my country (they send some tools with batteries but just bateries not).
Batteries and trimmer are almost new. I use trimmer 4 or 5 times. Usually i trim at morning, charg at night. I am soo shoocked. Are anyone have advice what i can do? I was thinking to contact amazon but they allready back money for this trimmer because delivery was weeks late. So i am not sure if they do anything.
I am most curious why this happens.

Sorry for my non perfect english.

Contact greenworks for advice. That should be a warranty replacement. The other battery is /probably/ fine, but there could've been a factory issue where a whole run of batteries was bad.
