Which CPU makes the most sense?

I am looking at 2 different systems with everything the same but the cpu/memory speed. This system is not necessarily for overclocking, just everyday use and some video encoding. I don't necessarily need the fastest either.

2.8 Ghz 533 FSB, 333Mhz DDR +0 Dollars

2.6 Ghz 800 FSB, 400 Mhz DDR +30 Dollars

2.8 Ghz 800 FSB, 400 Mhz DDR + 130 Dollars

3.06 Ghz 533 FSB, 333 Mhz DDR + 150 Dollars

3.0 Ghz 800 FSB, 400 Mhz DDR + 300 Dollars


Which seems to be a worthwhile deal?

I agree, if your buying a new system right now, go ahead and go for the 800 fsb, but the 3ghz is going to cost you an extra $270 over the 2.6ghz choice(400mhz gain). You can easily make that up and plenty more.

Either the second or the third. The best dollar/perfomance ratio would be the second one though.

Number 2! Best bang for the buck, plus the 800Mhz FSB will help the video encoding.

You definately want the 1st one as it costs $0 and you can probably overclock to an 800MHz bus if you use PC3200 DDR400-SDRAM.

I'm building a new system, and chances are I'll be getting the 2.6c as well. Different in price between the 2.6c and 2.8c is a bit much. With the 2.6c OC to over 3.0 is more than enough speed for me (...for now).
