It depends. A woman who feels as though she can't leave the house without it would drive me insane. However, a woman who never wears it (even if she is attractive w/o it) may just look even better with a little bit on. Also, it's based on situation. Going hiking all dolled up and going to work all dolled up are two different things.

There is a relatively new woman where I work. The first few times I saw her, I thought to myself "Ya she's ok". Recently (this week actually), I noticed a difference. She was wearing makeup. This time I saw her and I thought "Damn .... she's pretty hot." All it took was a modest amount of foundation and eye makeup and I changed my opinion of her (looks wise that is ..... she's a very nice person regardless of what she looks like).

So all in all ... yeah a little make-up can't hurt now and again. But don't make it a prerequisite to putting on your shoes and leaving the house.

All the best.

Well I make this a point to bring to peoples attention... due to the fact that when I went to see my sister at college, she wouldn't go to the city with me or even leave her room for that fact until she changed her makeup. My sister doesn't wear that much makeup, and she already had it on. I don't see why she had to make such a big deal out of going out. She even commented, "Aren't you gonna put some makeup on before we go out?" As for my wearing glasses, well I can't see too far without them. I tend to make an idiot out of myself when not wearing them by running into things. I just don't have the eyelashes either to be trying the turantula eye lash thing with mascara. That is just inhumane to the other people that have to look at me. My point being, how has our society gotten to the point that makeup is part of the wardrobe. Not only is the makeup industry getting rich on our character flaws, but also the companies that produce facial cleansers. That stuff just isn't meant to be put on our skin. I used to wear makeup, when I was so worried about the way I looked, now I am stuck in the facial cleanser circle of death because my skin is coming back at me with a vengance. Is it really worth it?

If you click on the link in my siggy of "The Skoorbs" and even the smiley face, you can see that while I do have makeup on, it is still the natural look.

For me personally, it is to enhance and not meant to be seen. So rather than someone saying "Hey, look at that lovely color of eye shadow," people would say "wow, you have really nice eyes!" See what I mean? Makeup should never take any more than 5 minutes, unless of course you have a physical disability making it slightly more difficult. AND I wear it because I enjoy it. I do NOT plaster it on and anyone that has met me, knows that! It also depends on my mood as to whether I wear it or not. I have no problem going without, just as I don't have a problem going with.
