Which EVGA card to get

Need a new video card in my system. Out of these two which one would you pick? About the same price. I like the fact that the 6800 gt has 512k memory and the other is a 7800 GT and copper cooling. How much does 512k really help out in games?

I would say you'd be better off with the 7800gt. It's just better and packed with newer features. As far as I know, the 512mb does little currently, unless you have a large monitor. The FEAR demo though has shown some benefit from the 512mb I think however, so it may or may not be a sign to come. Even so, my vote would still be for the 7800gt.

The extra mem does little, but you are comparing 2 different cards. The 7800 is obviously going to be faster.

Well I had assumed the 7800 was faster looking at the benchmarks versus 6800 series due to 4 more pixel pipelines. Unfortunately none of the benchmarks contained any 512meg versions yet. Isn't there suppose to be an error on the 7800s like an IQ error or something?
I will probably go with the 7800 gt copper version even though it is real close to the cost of the Gtx. Hoping it will bring down the temps a little and also noticed it is higher clocked.
