Which LCD should I buy?

But dosen't your video card have anything to do with the video quality? I use a x800XT, which I would think gives better video quality compared to an older video card. I think I read with the L90D+ that contrast set at 60-65 or something is nice.

One thing I disliked about the Dell 2005fpw was ghosting in gaming.

What he is talking about is the L90D+ upping the brightness to make the colors seem more vibrant and to increase contrast artifically. ITs looks great at first and then your eyes start to hurt. When you lower the brightness the colors are washed out. This is why I choose the VX924, the coloration isnt as perfect as you would find on a slower more expensive monitor but if your looking for a gaming monitor it has the best color/contrast/comfort for your price range and its still faster than the L90D+. It may not be worth 100$ more than the L90D+ but its still worth the extra 50. The L90D+ was the first affordable acceptable gaming monitor, and thats where it gets all its hype but others have come out since that are better and in the same price range, for example the VX924.

The controversy concerning the VX924 was to risky for me concerning the ms. I read reviews, but even the contrast ratio wasn't appealing to me. But this is not to say you are wrong, maybe in different ways both LCDs have pros and cons to it. In either case, I hope my decision will hold up nicely in gaming with clarity in graphics until Widescreens become more advanced and cheaper.

But, if the monitor is defective to where a refund is available, I might consider the VX924.
