i'm not just being an ass, there is a TON of stuff in the sticky. if you're not willing to do the research, just go to an electronics store and buy what you think looks good.
the samsung is 120hz, which generally means it will be better for gaming, as the higher refresh rate gives a greater tolerance for the input signal and often results in reduced video input lag. that's why it costs more. you'll probably want to do some reading to decide whether this is worth the extra money to you, there are a lot of threads on 120hz monitors. personally, i think 60hz is fine if you're careful with your video settings- i use a lot of little tweaks to get fast games to run smoothly with minimal lag. there's a great AT article on this, also, if you check the main page.
as far as image quality, both monitors will be largely similar, i would venture to guess.
