which router to get?

Buffalo Technology Wireless-G High Speed Router (WHR-G125) or
Buffalo Technology AirStation G54 Router (WHR-G54S)

they both have same price at CC...which one is better? can they both be flashed?

I'm surprised that no one replied...anyway, I just bought WHR-G125 from CC. I see that there are two 3rd-party firmware. Tomato and DD-WRT
Do they have same features but with different interface???

The G125 is the newest revision from Buffalo but I think inside...both routers are the same. For the price, I usually go for the HP model since it has a built in amplifier giving stronger, cleaner wireless signal. But both of those seem to be a pretty good choice for now.

neither...i would have sprung for one of their High Powered models.

tomato vs dd-wrt is personal preference. check out the gui's and what features they support, make your decision from there.

The WHR-G125 is only few days on the market so there is Not enough functional feedback.

Early reports claims that a it might be a little better than the WHR-G54S.

Looks to me that the Antenna is infrior as compare to the early model.

Personally I go for the High Power Model.

pretty sure theres a WHR-HP-G125 out now too...again, not much info about it. i believe it uses the same 4dBi ant w/ inline amp as the hp-g54, a new Broadcom BCM5354 chip, and runs at 240MHz.

The WLITX4G54HP is Not a Router. It is a form o Access Point that acts as driverless Client.

Very good as Bridge, or a Wireless GameBox card.

Just an FYI..Circuit City has the WHR-HP-G54 for $59.99...not sure if this is a price drop or not. It is about the same as NewEgg. I'm going to pick mine up now

So I picked up a WHR-HP-G54 today from CC. Flash it with Tomato right out of the box. Turn on WPA2

Signal strength is great and Tomato is really easy to use.

Am I missing anything not using WW-DRT...after reading this http://www.bitsum.com/about-ddwrt.htm , I'd rather try something else...

Take close look at the features that both provide, if you find something that you need and it provided only by one of them use the one the provides that feature.

Otherwise it does not matter they both do what they suppose to do.
