Yes i can relate to that, but that's precisely the issue.. you don't need a detector for the daily commute, because then there are many other ppl on the road and you're not going to get a ticket for going the same speed as everyone else unless you decide drive like an asshole. As for knowing where falses are, this is another reason why cheap detectors are bad, because cops sometimes hide exactly where there are other radar sources, so that you're lured into another sense of security thinking the detector is beeping b/c of the grocery store, and this is why $300+ detectors have a feature that tracks multiple sources to address this problem. So if you know your daily commute route well and drive the same speed as everyone else, then you really don't need a detector at all. Also, asshole drivers aren't really relevant to this topic because detectors help you with speeding, not reckless driving, when i got pulled over it was about midnight on a highway with very few cars, i was simply driving fast, not recklessly. just thought i'd clarify the issue..

This is for the people that say that this is a waste of cash due to falses. Most people drive the same route everyday and learn where the false targets are. If you are smart and use this information, along with not driving like an idiot, you will be fine. I do this and I am saved all of the time with a cheap radar detector. Hell, I hope that all that drive like assholes get tickets. I hate asshole drivers. My hobby is to box in asshole drivers. Nothing better than seeing someone squirm when they have nowhere to go and are denied the extra 10 seconds they would have gained if they had got in front of me. Gives me pleasure on my daily commute.
