White beer & blonde ales

So I picked up a sixer of Hoegaarden white beer and love this stuff. I've tried Sam Adams White Ale, Red Hook Blonde, and Shiner Blonde and like them all.

Anyone know of any others like this that are generally widely available? I'm talking about being able to find them in AZ or Minnesota.

Hoegarden is getting easier to find. it was near impossible to located them

however, at nearly 10 dollar for a 6 pack, that's some expensive beer.

for white beer, the only one I didn't was that Belgian Blue Moon... otherwise i haven't tried any other "true" white beer

Yeah, i gotta go to the organic food store to find it. It's expensive, but worth in IMO. (I wouldn't drink it all the time or anything).

I won't drink Blue Moon...it's a Coors product...and to make a long story short, i won't drink any Coors product.

look for Franziskaner Weissbier. It might be available where you are.

I find it superior to Hoegarden

Try Capitol's Blonde Dopplebock if you can get it. Excellent!

If you like those, you might enjoy Grolsch Blonde. Its a Bud product with a little less alcohol content than Hoegaarden and Red Hook Blonde, but its definitely easier to find. And cheaper.....

A blonde dopplebock? I'll have to keep an eye out.

Look for anything with Weissbeer or Weisbeer in the name.

I like Hoegarden and actually found a restaurant that carries it on draft, however I failed to ask how much it was before I got two glasses. $7 each :shocked:

hocker-pschorr is a great white/blonde beer... very much a drink that helps refresh your palette during a long night of Guinness imbibing..

Hoegaarden is good stuff, check out the Allagash stuff for sure, the White ale is awesome. Their tripel is awesome too although not what you were looking for.
