Yep, the exhaust is pretty quiet unless you really get on it. I love how it afterfires all the time.

Where I live, I see rice getting pulled over right and left by the cops, due to their crack down on street racing. If you have it lowered, or any obvious exhaust or suspension mods, and a cop see's you here, you'll get pulled over. That's a fact. Now I seem to see less of them during the day, but more out late at night.

What do you drive that has a "300hp wakeup call" and what's it's power:weight ratio?

For the record, I drive an 88 Accord. I bought it used, I've done nothing to improve performance on it, except replace the plugs and wires. I've done no visual mods of any kind, it looks completely stock. I even took all the gazillion stickers off. The only "performance" thing I know that was done to it is the cat-back exhaust , but I think it has a hotter aftermarket cam. It also has a worn-out suspension that's now extremely hard and the car is paper flat in turns. It also feels quick enough to keep up with my mom's Eclipse GT, despite the rather severe HP gap and my weight advantage. So whatever you do, don't call my car rice. It's not trying to be something it's not, even if it is fun to drive

the Impreza looks pretty stock to me, sorta like a RS/Impreza wagon, definitely minimal aftermarket parts besides the lights. Just clear cornerlights. His torque comes on pretty well. The curve isnt as flat as a NA car(assuming it's a wrx right? not too much a fan of suburu so not so sure, though i have a lingering feeling that generatioon, at least in the us topped out at the RS, nonturbo level.), which is a downer. How loud is you bov? That's my definition of Rice.

it's ugly, but not rice since it's stock. That and it's plenty fast. Neutral drop from 5.5k rpm in 1st will get you a hell of a launch and sub 5s 0-60.

Ok some explaining needs to be done for the newbs. The short shifter makes the shifts shorter and smoother... = not rice. The grounding kit was custom made by someone on my forums and it fixes dimming lights, jerkyness in 1st gear and overall makes acceleration smoother. The Gauge Pack is an OEM option and it did not come with my car so I bought it so I could see my voltage and Oil temp = not rice. An aftermarket cd player is not rice. The trunk light should have came in US imprezas anyway but it did not, the harness was there and everything is there for a trunk light. Again an OEM part. The clear corners are your opinion.

I'm not a newb! I have a shortshifter in my car, and honestly, the only thing it does over the long shifter in my mom's car.... or any other manual i've driven, is less arm movement. I think it's really more for looks then anything, as I don't shift my car particular faster then any others. I didn't know the guage pack was OEM, and stereos CAN be rice if you go overboard with them I was trying to specifically point out the things that definately were not rice (the performance-oriented mods).

And yes, a WRX will most likely pwn an STS. An STS is big and it's heavy.
