hehe, I can't help but laugh when I read comments like this, I mean 8 pounds aint poop!!! don't take it personal but I am not worried about a little weight.

Also, I'll make sure that if I see a policeman or perhaps someone in the army when they are loaded down with guns and assult-rifles granades tear-gas
cannisters and the what not, I'll be sure to let them know that they are carrying to much weight, good grief!! to much weight, bwaaahaaaa..

Yup, lets see, I pick up my laptop in its case (btw, the case has a shoulder strap, <gasp>) and then put it in my truck...then drive to work...then pull into parking lot..then unload my heavy laptop...and walk, oh! maybe 100 feet to my desk and then "BAM" put it down and turn it on and wah-la!! I'm now having fun on my extremely heavy laptop..like I said, don't take offence at what I just wrote as I am just having fun with that comment.

Hehehe, todays young dudes have it so frigg'n soft that it kills me. And yet they go to the local fitness gym and work out for hours on end to get pumped-up
and yet they complain if a stupid LIGHT laptop isn't 2 pounds...

One thing to be noted with the current crop of laptops though, and that would be the incredible size of the battery recharger...frigg'n HUGE, a brick!!

what video card does this sucker got? It doesn't mention it anywhere on the specs. I dunno, still like my M6805 better . Fast as hell AND it's only 7.5 lbs.

It has the "ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9200". This is certainly good enough for my uses, and btw the DVDs on this thing are awesome

WOW, this is the exact laptop I am considering buying. I'm glad I decided to search the forums

So, how do you like the videogame performance and battery life? The radeon has 64 MB of DEDICATED memory too? Its pretty much between this one and the ZV5030. This has a Radeon 9000 with 128 MB of SHARED memory it says. The 9200 should perform better, right?

PS- does it have that Powerplay manager installed?

Yes the 9200 will perform better as long as the memory is dedicated to the Vid card and is not Sys memory. You can compare sysmemory in a lappy to onboard graphics chips in desktop systems. Depending on what you are willing to pay look at the new AMD64 lappys from HP or Emachine.
