Air Force 1964 - 1968 & got out. Airframe & Sheetmetal.
I did late 1966 to early 1967 as Air Force attached to the Army's 1st Cav - in Nam.
Operation Red Leaf - Caribou STOL program.

Been working in Aerospace Systems for 40+ years.

Going to boot at the end of September as an E-2. Scored a 97 on the ASVAB.

air force - chair force, ahaha. that's what the army, navy and marine rotc refers to the air force. polish those boots son!

Hmmm.. Last time a tire had to be changed when I was a Crew Chief on C130's, we didn't have any specialists do that job, unless you are talking about the j.e.e.p's. There is no magical person who just changes tires all day.

Crew Chiefs did all the maintenance on the planes. Yes, there are specialists (GAC, Com/nav, hydro, electro, engine) but there job is just to help the CC fix the plane.

Yeah, that was like me when I signed up for the CF. I got letters of recommendation from one of the guys that ran my city band, and some family friends who were teachers, pharamacists, stuff like that.

Doesn't hurt that the guy that ran my band is a Knight of the British Empire (We had to call him Sir William), and was an army Captain with the 48th Highland regiment...I didn't know the last part, but it sure looked good
