Nothing. Then again you can live wothout all versions of Windows so that is a dumb question. I personally will be picking up a copy or two just to have it.

Why buy an operating system(WinXP) or a program(OfficeXP) That limits you to a certain amount of useages. I for one will be using WinME,Win2k and Win98se as well as Office2k probably the next 5 years...Screw the new updates. They dont offer enough in the way of anything "new" to warrant their 199. dollar price tag. Maybe if they come out with ah crack for the XP...then I might buy....A COPY.

Already there are cracks to get around MS's lousy protection features. I don't think its that bad, but really not worth $200 for anyone.

Bleh, I like some stuff in XP, like ClearType, but I would turn off 90% of the stuff that makes XP different from 2000. I'll just stick with 2k for now.

$199 is very tiny piece of money for most people, especially when they don't have to pay by themselve or can put it on their tax deduction.

For any of those who ARE planning to buy XP, which version are you going to buy? The Home version for the compatibility, or the Pro version for reliability, like so many who own 2000 right now?

I'm pretty sure that the home version being the compatibility and Pro is for reliability is only marketing. Gotta make something sound good that's only a ripped off version of the good one.

Not sure if I want to buy it since it's kinda expensive for me. Maybe if there is a significant difference between Win 2000 and XP, I will start saving and get it.
