No. Hating jerks is normal. Hipsters are people who don't just like the things they like, they like them particularly to be exclusive of others and assert themselves and air that over you as something that makes them superior. We don't dislike them because we think we are better than them. It's not because we don't care about the things they care about (though that's often the case). We dislike them because we see through their vapid embrace of all thing counter/sub-culture or exclusive (why they like vintage things without the nostalgia) and see why they do it: to be aloof assholes about everything they like. It's even worse when they elevate the importance of by dismissing everything you or the mainstream like. There's another word for that: Asshole
