1. JUST BECAUSE ALCOHOL IS LEAGAL, DOESN'T MEAN MARIJUANA SHOULD BE LEAGAL. You are using a freaking logical fallacy! Get over it. That arguement is useless and pointless. It's been discredited already. STOP SAYING IT.
2. Smoking Marijuana has NO (Zero, none) benefit whatsoever. It does not cure anything, it does not help anything. However, it does impare your senses and causes severe long term harm. To Summarize: Benefits = 0, Dangers = Many. (Note the word SMOKING)
3. Your arguement that Marijuana has never killed anyone is as pointless as saying that guns have never killed anyone. Of course it Marijuana never killed anyone. It's effects and how those effects effect you are what kills you. As I said it's like saying that guns have never killed anyone. Of course they haven't! Bullets kill people! (unless you throw the gun at a person). Same reasoning. Not persuading at all.
Ask any (reputable) medical doctor and they will tell you that it's dangerous. There is not a single good arguement for legalizing it. Not one. All arguements that are made seem to include some sort of logical fallacy, logical flaw, or just plain stupidity. If anyone has an ACTUAL arguement that doesn't sound like some stoner crybaby crying about how he wants to get stoned, I'll be glad to listen. Quit acting like 5 year olds. Just because you smoke pot and think you know everything doesn't make it so. Look at a reputable medical website for evidence on Marijuana or talk to an actual doctor to get the REAL facts about how it affects you and why it's illegal instead of your stoner friends.
As a final note, If you are that serious about wanting to get high then goto Canada or Europe where it's already legal.
Ohhhhh...he's got all the answers, doesn't he?
1. Alcohol is arguably more dangerous than marijuana, yet it is legal. Also, Prohibition did NOTHING to control alcohol usage, much as prohibition of marijuana has done very little either. It was made illegal for POLITICAL reasons, not any sense of actual health concerns.
2. Where is your evidence to support this "it doesn't cure anything"? Does "Glaucoma" mean anything to you? Marijuana has been proven to help treat glaucoma.
Why was it briefly legalized for medical use in California? Apparently somebody thinks it's useful, not just a handful of "stoner crybabies". Doctors are not going to prescribe something they know to be dangerous, and I'm sure they know a lot more than you do about its effects.
3. Marijuana hasn't been conclusively shown to kill people, either short-term or long-term. Alcohol and the secondary effects associated with it have been proven over and over to be dangerous, on the other hand. I've gotten plenty of information about the effects of marijuana from reliable sources and have years of experience with it, which you do not have, presumably.
If I'm that serious about getting high, I plan to do it right here in America. It is NOT already legal in Canada or Europe. It's either decriminalized or the authorities look the other way (as in Amsterdam). Get YOUR facts straight before you post drivel like this and become a little more open-minded at the same time.
