Why Not C2It ?

I know this may be off topic (It would be nice to have a place specifically for trading talk if this isn't the right place) but why don't more people use C2IT ?

They are backed by an actual bank and they don't charge transaction fees unless the recipeint is not in the US...

My best guess is because more people use PayPal and because most people don't have Business or Premier acounts so they don't incur the fees....

Are there any high volume sellers that use PayPal over C2IT and if so why ?

Thanks.

I didn't have any problems signing up, I just entered my personal information, then added my savings account and that's it....

I never had any problems with them. They provide a great service. I just wish more people
would use them instead of ebay/paypal.

Only problem with c2it.com is the $500 daily limit. But you could always just send $500 one day then $500 the next and so on. I'm not sure if there is a way to lift the limit. Would check into it but since I rarely use the account I'm not too worried right now.

**** MORE PEOPLE SIGN UP FOR C2it.com! Give someone besides paypal a chance and save me and you $$$$$$$!!!!!!!

They do offer a nice service, they use the business model that most local banks use when they give you free checking accounts, they would rather have your money in their banks so they can move it around, rather than collect a small monthly fee....

I can't say the 500.00 dollar limit is any big deal for me, if you buy something that expensive it's no big deal to send more than one payment, especially since there are no fees....Personally I don't see myself making or receiving many 500.00+ payments.

Sign up for C2IT Guys !

C2it is going to a fee-based service model starting 2/23.

I've used them for months for a business I help run, and I've had no problems, though.. the 24/7 1-800 number is great, even though I only needed to call once. Quick, where's Paypal's 24/7 toll-free customer support number?

The limits are annoying.. 500/day, $1000/4 days and $1000/day withdrawal

Because they treat your payments (when linked to non-Citibank cards) as cash advances, which incur high interest rates... or at least they did when I used them a couple of months back.

Actually, I used to use C2it, but they started charging now, so I don't use it anymore unless someone wants to send me money by credit card.
This was in the email they just sent me telling about they're change in policy:

New Domestic Send Cash Pricing

In order to maintain our high level of customer service, we will begin
charging a fee for each domestic send cash transaction. Domestic Get
Cash and Transfer Cash transactions will remain free.

* Domestic Send Cash Transaction Pricing
* 2.0% of transaction amount for each domestic send with a
minimum fee of $0.30

Continue to take advantage of our low $10 flat fee for each
International Transaction!*

Changes to the Add Cash Feature

You will no longer be able to conduct an Add Cash transaction from
your linked MasterCard® or Visa® credit or MasterCard® or Visa® debit
cards. We will continue to provide you with the convenience of
conducting Add Cash transactions from your Linked Bank Account(s).

THIS DOES NOT CHANGE YOUR ABILITY TO CONDUCT
INTERNATIONAL AND DOMESTIC SEND CASH TRANSACTIONS
FUNDED BY YOUR LINKED CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS.

To Send Cash funded from your credit or debit card:
* Go to the International Page or Domestic Send Cash Page
* Enter your transaction information as you do today
* In the "Send from which account" drop down menu, select the
credit or debit card you wish to use
* Continue through the transaction as you do today

Use this method when conducting your next Domestic or International
Send Cash transaction funded from your credit or debit card.

It's unfortunate that they are going with a transaction fee business model, however for me it's still better.

C2IT 2.0 %
PayPal 2.9% +.30

For me with no fees selling 100 units monthly comes out to:

430.00

With PayPal fees is comes out to:

260.00

With C2IT fees it comes out to:

333.00

Meaning I save myself 73.00 by using C2IT....

So even with fees it still seems C2IT is a better deal for sellers, however it wouldn't make much diffrence for buyers...

oh, C2it is better for sellers. They don't charge to receive payments. At least I thought they didn't. The only ones I know of are for sending cash and adding funds to your account.
