My Windows 98 SE loads really slooow at bootup.
Before I formatted, I had ME and my bootup was about 30 sec, but not its about a minute and a half with 98.
I have a P3 750, 256ram, and a 7200rpm harddrive.
The Windows 98 screen appears for about 30 sec, and afterwards I get a blank screen with a blinking cursor for about 40 sec.
While I'm at this blank screen I can see that my harddrive is idle (which is for about 35 sec), and then it kicks in again and loads to the desktop.
Windows runs fine when I'm finally in it.
I don't know if this is actually a problem.
Anyone have any ideas?
