amd's marketing is crap that's true.

but i don't think this is helping.

RS was completely right.

Well, I consider the overly positive spin for nVidia/negative spin for AMD part of marketing failure. Should the sites spin reviews like they do? Of course not. But people do things for a reason. There has to be something in it for them. Whether it's simply pandering to the readership or something more, who knows. In the end though the effect is the same.

I consider no DX12 games ready when Win10 released marketing failure too. I can't believe that Dice or Oxide couldn't have had something tangible ready. Even having a Mantle game ported. Then they could push the Mantle>DX12 connection. Anything! Instead they seem to be sitting there waiting for the industry to follow the natural course. However long that takes.

Yeap, i said that when Fiji was released. AMD should had one or better two DX-12 games ready on Fiji release to showcase its DX-12 performance.

380x is not worth it

Sure it is. Since for most people intending to keep a graphics card for 2-3 years with a modern CPU, 2GB cards are not a good buy, that means $180 R9 280X and $200 380X offer the best value for the $ in the lower mid-range segment (assuming the gamer has a good PSU and a solid i5/i7 modern CPU).

If someone wants to buy a graphics card in the $180-250 price range, what is better exactly? R9 380X has that entire market segment to itself right now more or less because sooner or later every last one R9 280X will sell out.

The next level up with an R9 390 will cost $280.
