I think you are missing something again
You can of course connect HDfury to VGA or DVI (just need VGA>DVI), the real question is that one:
do you have DVI-D or DVI-I input on your display ?

the second thing you miss is the following: it's the DIGITAL LINK that is important

Normally you have HDMI transmitter IC inside your SOURCE and HDMI receiver IC inside your display.

Once the HDMI receiver IC inside your display get the HDMI signal it will be decyphered to PURE RGB and your monitor matrix will display it

As you see DIGITAL link is keep from SOURCE to DISPLAY.

Using HDfury, will add the HDMI receiver IC just outside your display (not at some meters like man in the middle device, but straight on your INPUT connector DVI or VGA)
This ensure DIGITAL Link from source to display, and shortest analog link (actually < 2cm !!)

Hope its clear now.

Actually what i'm wondering about is how many commercial info you have read to set up a such computer configuration in order to write down such useless comment.

If you just read the thread again notorious members confirmed the facts

I just signed up to say that not all monitors labeled as 1600x1200 max resolution are limited to 1600x1200 max res. My 5 year old MAG CRT accepts up to 1920x1200 pixels (I just have to squish it vertically, resembling letterbox on fullscreen tvs). My monitors maximum resolution is 1200 vertical, I have not tried custom resolutioons wider than 1920. I'm pretty sure a LOT of CRTs that are marketed as 1600x1200 max resolution can accept 1920x1080 signals.

I use a VGA cable with my Xbox360 and the image suffers from horrible ghosting. If I were to buy a PS3, I could then get an HDfury to view all 2.07 megapixels at 60fps (if the game supported said resolution). I'm pretty sure that is impossible with component, especially as my monitor only takes VGA as an input.

How many have registered the day they posted in this topic? Someone sure paid a nice chunk of change for some viral (though they sure did manage to find the bottom of the barrel there... honestly, how do you expect to sell to people who know AV Hardware with some of the FUD in this thread?)

SPAM what ?
I came, i read , i comment on wrong beliefs, and all what you can write down is "SPAM" !?

May i ask WHY/HOW come ?

Because actually , a forums/ ongoing discussion, should be all about ARGUMENTS, where are yours ?

It looks like saying "SPAM" is a game for you ?

Can you not write something with good sense ?

I mean, isn't it YOU that actually looks like a SPAM ? because all you can do is post the same answer "it's spam !" when someone is bringing arguments on the table ?

I bet you would like to think that. We are to assume that your join date and mecroft's are so close by mere coincidence? I could give you that, but then the fact that you both have gushing praise for a device that fills a very tiny niche market? Even assuming that was true as well, there is the third fact that you both type in a similar manner.

I am no detective, by any means, but I am going to guess you did create both of those accounts to defend OP. (Which is probably legitimate, given that an almost 2 year sleeper cell is overkill for even the most cunning viral marketer.)

1and1 is meant to be the red herring, correct?

I tried to google "HDFury Review" and the first link that appeared was my own topic.

So I checked it out and it seems that even though it's now 5 pages long, no one still answered my original question (At least I think so, I couldn't be bothered to read all the posts).

Btw, my 1080p HDTV is HDCP compliant, I want this thing because I can only get a 1:1 pixelmapped image through VGA.

Hi Ultimadark,

HDFURY team said they have sent samples out last week to a few review sites so expect them to be on the net pretty soon.

Here is a video demonstration of a PS3 and Sony SDM P234 hooked up with HDfury, you can grab it here: http://www.hkmod.com/HDfury.wmv

Ok, let's be logical about this. If you are using a PC, just buy a 360 HD-DVD drive, use a FREE ripping tool to rip your movies and watch it on whatever connection you'd like, DVI or VGA (HDCP compliant or not).

If you are watching a movie using an HD-DVD or Blu-Ray player (PS3 included), just use your component cables. Most modern day TVs are progressive, so they can not display an interlaced picture anyway. What they'll do is convert a 1080i picture to 720p or 1080p. So with film and a modern day TVs, movies outputted at 1080i will be displayed at 720p or 1080p. So really, for movies, 1080i=1080p. And seriously, if you have a TV that can display 1080p, you'll most likely have a TV that has at least ONE HDMI connection. My brother with an older 720p DLP and has ONE HDMI connection. And if you do have an older TV that DOESN'T have an HDMI connection, that TV is OLD! I'd recommend just buying a new HDTV and not wasting any more money on an older TV. HDTVs have come a LONG way in the past few years and you can get some great deals on them now.

I just don't see the point to this product now. I'd say it's too little too late.

- Resell their display, loose lot of money and buy a brand new display. (they don't want this solution because the industry already sold them expensive display technically able to output 1080p, they just don't understand why the ****** they got a black screen when they connect a HDMI source to it)
Umm, why would they get a black screen when they connect an HDMI source to it? All HDMI connections are HDCP compliant.
There is MILLIONS displays technically able to support HDMI 720 or 1080p
They just CANNOT be used without HDfury.
Again, why would someone with a display that had an HDMI connection not be able to view 720p or 1080p content without this device?
um, er, I have a samsung 61" dlp tv that I got free 3.5 yrs ago. it has dvi but no hdmi. I don't have a good surround sound system, however, so I can just use a dvi-hdmi cable when necessary. the component cables work great for all my hd channels anyway.

I would like to see this go up for a review, I myself have a RPTV in the front room that only has HD component and VGA, this sounds like a firm solution, for cheap upscaling DVD players instead of getting a PS3 for beau coup bucks.
