Win 2K StartUp Problem

I am new to the Windoze platform and recently upgraded to Win 2K. Lately when starting up, Win 2K stalls after the Win 2K splash screen appears and the blue start up bar is about 75% complete. Forcing a restart gets things working fine, but I can't help believe something needs fixing.

Any clues as to the problem, and if so, how to fix it?
