Win2k auto logon

When you install Win2k, it asks if you would like to enter a password every time you start up or just have it automatically log in. Does anyone know how to change this option without reinstalling win2k?

just go to control panel, and if memory don't fail me on 2000 professional you have one option that is passwords.

there you can assign if a user must use a password or if it is allways the same user who log on the machine.

This option should be somewhere in user management, in the control panel

This one is simple
1. Go to Users and Passwords in Control panel (usually the last icon in CP)
2. Highlight the name of the person you want to log in as default
3. Click the checkmark button above (Users must enter username...)
4. Click Ok
5. Put in password for that user and verify (leave blank if no password - but bad idea)

Or just download tweak from MS. It allows you to engage or disengage auto login and choose which user.
