We've got about 100 PCs here at work, and we have all users logging in as members of "Users". Recently however I've run into a little problem. A couple of the staff here need to be able to rip CDs to mp3s to send to people as demos of our work, but logged in as a User any CD Ripping software I've tried using (EAC/CDex/AudioGrabber) fails to work, we usually get the error message as something along the lines of "there was no answer from ASPI". Either that or the program just crashes HARD and I need to reboot the PC to get it working properly again.
I've tried granting more permissions to the WinNT, System32 and Program Files folders, and also to the HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft folder in the registry, but it hasn't helped at all.
If I log in as part of the Administrator group the programs work fine.
Funnily enough I can log in as part of the User group and rip to wma through Media Player
Anyone have any idea of what I can do?
