win2k wont shutdown

I installed a santa cruz sound card a few days back and ever since win 2k wont shut down. It shows the saving settings and shutting down screens but it just styas blue after that.

I have disabled the onboard audio in the bios.
Everytime I hav to manually turn the PC off. Its driving me nuts.
Anybody with any suggestions?
