Im just after a little push on my old 3000+ before i decide on an upgrade (probably FX or some description).
Ive looked up some pre-written stable setups for winchester 3000+, but im having some difficulty doing it.
Board is A8N-Sli Deluxe,
CPU is AMD64 Winchester 3000+,
RAM is 2x512 PC3200 Cheapo brand (so dont expect higher clocks),
Specs im trying to do are:
FSB: 216 (i have found where in the bios i can change this, all the way from 200 - 300)
Multiplier: 9 (ive also found this, and i can change it from 1 - 9)
vcore: 1.475 (ive found this, can change from 1.0 - 5.5)
"DDR Clock ratio" : 2:1 (i dont know what this is, cant find anything like it in the bios)
"DDR400": 216 (cause ive set my FSB at 216 i dont see how i can change this, however some other pre-written ones say differnt DDR speeds to cpu?)
So basically i want to know how to change the ram things, as i cant find where they are.
CPU-Z tells me my HT is link is 1080MHz, i know that is a function of what i need to know but dont know how it is calculated or what it equates to.
I have been recommended a 1005MHz HT link for 2.4GHz, so i assume mine is too high for 2GHz, but the comp hasnt frozen yet.
Also, CPU-Z Cpu voltage fluctuates bettwen the 1.475 that i set it to and 1.504??? within a 1 second loop, sometimes staying on either for 5 seconds.
