Windows 2000 - Server or Workstation?

I recently downloaded Advanced System Optimizer and I love it. It found 302 registery errors and fixed them, got rid of 119mb worth of dead flies and other bs of the like, but then it asked me wether I want to run Windows 2K as a server or a workstation. Which should I choose and why? Thanks.

Not that I trust "advanced system optimizer", in fact I would be very leary of using it, unless it came from microsoft...

But I would expect that it would optmize your system for fast output or responsiveness. For a desktop system you want it responsive, for a server system you want it to value a even system performance more then responsiveness.

So if your going to use it as a desktop, select desktop. If your going to use it as a server, select server.

That's my guess.

Well I was leary about this kind of app as well but PCMag rated it above the same type of software put out by Norton, far above Norton, and from the results it has shown I am impressed. It works.

Thanks for the input though, workstation or "desktop" it is. Makes perfect sense.
