Windows 98 to Windows 98SE

I have the full version of Win. 98 installed on my system. I want to upgrade to Win. 98SE. I have the full version of 98SE but when I try to install or "upgrade", I get a messege that I need a upgrade version instead of the full version. I dont want to re-install everything. Is there a way around this and will I have to reload all of my drivers again?

that i know of, there is no way around it, perhaps you can dual boot, although ive never heard of a 98/98se dual boot, seems kinda redundant. anywany, why do you want to upgrade? oh yeah, my motto, when upgrading a OS dont upgrade just fdisk, format and have a fresh start.

Installing W98SE over W98 has been discussed here a couple of weeks ago. If you do a search, you should find it.
My memory says it went something like this..
From DOS find WIN.COM file and rename to something else,,say WIN.OLD
Then you can use boot diskette with CDROM support and W98SE should now load.
Do the search, gives more details.
