windows ad-hoc network

I've set up an ad-hoc network between my computer and another computer in the next room using wireless network devices. I set windows to use WPA-none AES, but when I scan for networks on the other computer, the one I set up shows up as using WEP. What's going on?

Some WPA capable Wireless Client can do only WEP while in Ad-Hoc mode.
