I recently tried to install Windows Media Player 11 (I know that there are better players, I use VLC but it isn't even 1.0 yet). Anyways, when I run the install file, everything goes great until the actual install process. When it is installing the Windows Media Format Runtime, it will stop at a point and give me a blue screen (of death). On this screen, it says REGISTRY_ERROR and gives me a few ID's for the problem (which I can post if necessary). I have tried to uninstall both Windows Media Player 10 and the runtime, but when I roll back Media Player 10, the Runtime uninstall tells me that Media Player 10 still requires it. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix this problem? Thanks.
