Windows XP and Roxio...

Both my friend and I have run into this problem... One with XP Pro, one with XP Home Edition... Roxio absolutely will not work... on my comp, it won't even install. On my friend's, he upgraded XP over ME, and Roxio hasn't worked since.

Any help?

Roxio has a patch of some sort you must install when installing it on XP. - poke around, it's on roxio.com somewhere.

But, why bother with the hassle at all? Just install Nero!

Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Uninstall Roxio.........Install Nero

What are you talking about? That has nothing to do at all with Microsoft. Roxio's engine just doesn't work on XP without a patch. Microsoft even had the patch on windowsupdate I believe. This is one case where you can't blame M$

I sensed some sarcasm from xzenwhenx..

This actually has to do with Microsoft.. Microsoft Windows XP comes with buring software built in. The software is actually Roxios burning core code. Roxio just wasnt on the ball quick enough to release a version of their full buring software that works correctly with windows that already has some of its software installed. Whos fault is it? Roxios..

Roxio blows. If you want control over your CDs, use Nero. I switched after having the same problems, and will not look back.
