U. are. U Personal Finger sensing security for Windows XP. I saw this demonstrated on Tech TV and said wow that would be great for my parents, (who are unable to remember, write down, or in some way shape or form keep track of passwords...) When I looked it up after the show it was like $100 everywhere I could find it... But, I found a link to this site on http://www.flamingbargains.com/ Since I lucked out and got in on the WindowsXP for $53 shipped here on anandtech, I thought I would share...

Its the personal edition so you cannot use it to log into an domain, but otherwise its pretty cool.

also, this WILL NOT work on win2000, so do not buy it to use it for win2000, it won't work!!!! I bought it and can't use it on win2k machines, only on my xp.

I bought one of these like 3 years ago from them. It was the U are U Deluxe, only worked with 95 98 but it did work quite well.

I'm thinking about getting another, now that they have XP software. (plus the sensor is much smaller now)

How's this work in XP pro?

One thing I'm trying to figure out, what do they mean by 30 day Introductory price???

Are they going to make this software expire in 30 days & make you pay more for it?

I absolutely love this UareU. It integrates very well with XP.
I use it for logon and for username/password accounts.

I've been using for a couple months now so I'm sure the 30-day introductory price
refers to the unit itself (although it's been that price for a pretty long time).
