WinDVD vs PowerDVD?

Been using windvd, wondering if powerdvd is better for watching dvds on the computer.
Cant find any reviews/comparisons.

I haven't used WinDVD since v3.0 when I switched to PowerDVD. Generally, both programs are equal when it comes to features.

I prefer the interface of PowerDVD to WinDVD.

I use windvd/dvr because my all in wonder card can use DVR instead of ati's multimedia centre (which uses up about 100mb of memory when loaded). its just more convienient to stick with windvd because they both have the same loader.

WinDVD, It plays DVDs and files that Power DVD wouldnt.

oh yeah I forgot to mention windvd has a great mpeg-2 decoder.. plays vcd/svcd/kvcd..

actually my powerDVD can play files as well. i'm using powerDVD 5. i feel the sound packs for powerDVD sound a little better than winDVD

Yea, they are about the if you have the newest versions, but powerdvd has alot more sound options.

i've never tried windvd. all the more popular drive brands come bundled with powerdvd, especially my personal favorite lite-on

I use PowerDVD but only because it came with my drive.

Is there a plug-in for Windows Media Player so that it can play DVD's?

Like what? I've used WinDVD in the past, but i currently have a free license for PowerDVD, so use that.
