I'm using the above joystick, with the USB attachment, under WIN98Se.
I'm also using the latest version of the Logitech Game Profiler.
The problem is under Mech3 and Mech3-Pirate's Moon, the games are NOT recognizing the "hat". What is happening is that the joystick "swivel" which I believe is Axis-Y, is acting as the "glance"...AND is causing the arms of the Mech to move. The Mech body will not swivel. I have tried re-mapping the functions in the Profiler, but that hasn't worked either.
I'm not having this problem under Mech4 or X-Wing Alliance. Well, not me directly. I'm just the messenger for the young MechWarrior in my home.
The annoying thing is..it DID work properly when I first loaded the game on Sunday.
Could this be a DirectX problem? I'm running DX 8.0.
Any suggestions?
